With the AERODYE piece dyeing machine KTM-KRANTZ is offering a fabric dyeing machine with aerodynamic rope propulsion. The machine is capable of performing wet treatments for woven and knitted fabrics including the modern processes for surface modification of fabrics like Polynosic, Tencel and other modern fibres, as well as tumbling treatments (option).
The machine can not only handle the ordinary and well-know dyeing processes for natural and synthetic fibres, but also has the capability to perform a variety of processes to produce surprising and fashionable modifications of the surface of textile fabric without altering them. Being very suitable for both natural and regenerated cellulose fibres, these processes can also be readily applied to protein or synthetic fibres, either alone or in blend. Processes like this utilze the principles of aerodynamics and are run in the AERODYE operating at high speeds (up to 700 m/min), ensuring that sufficient amounts of mechanical energy are delivered to the fibre.
The AERODYE is capable of carrying out all necessary treatments like chemical (caustification, dyeing), physical (dispersion of micro minerals), biological (enzyme treatment) as well as mechanical (tumbling). Among these highly sophisticated effects are opalescence (moonlight), silk appearance, peach skin, velvety handle, sandwash, distressed look, vagabundo look used look and dinosaur skin.
The pure aerodynamic drive allows transport of the fabric with minimal turbulences, having no longitude forces between roller and jet and building up an air cushion between fabric rope and jet due to quasi-parallel air inflow. For non-surface-stable fabric a special version with additionally driven winch is available too.
